I figured I would share a little unsettling news tonight. I received a call from a friend inquiring how close the “fire was to the cabin”. I knew nothing about a fire close to the cabin … so I looked it up. The blue dot in the lower left is the location of our cabin. The green dot is where we turn off the paved road to get to the cabin. The yellow lines that outline the fire area are the uncontrolled fire lines.
With the fire 81% contained as of 7am today (7/31/2010) … it was nice to find out later then sooner.
